Specialty polymers are chemically modified polymers used as coupling agents, compatibilizers, impact modifiers, tie-layer adhesive resins, blends, and alloys. These are made by chemically grafting reactive monomers like maleic anhydride and glycidyl methacrylate onto base polyolefins. They have better properties than simple polyolefins, such as improved polarity, adhesion to different substrates, and compatibility with reinforcements and fillers.
Pluss produces and sells these specialty polymers under the brand names OPTIM, BindEX, recoup, NOVIS, ADNYL, and OPTIPET. These products enhance the properties of polymer compounds, making them more widely used in industries like automotive, wire and cable, wood plastic composites, flexible packaging, white goods, and recycling.
