OPTIM series is the MAH grafted material based on different types of polyolefins. The series includes Coupling agents / compatibilizers and Impact modifiers from PLUSS allow you to OPTIMise compound properties. These additives are largely used in manufacturing of wide for a range of compounding applications for autmotives, white goods, and wire & cable industries.
Our Coupling agents are used for Glass or Mineral filled Polymer matrix such as PE, PP, ABS, PC and Nylon where in it enhances the bonding of Polymer and filler which is otherwise difficult to achieve. Better bonding of the filler with polymer matrix imparts improved mechanical and thermal properties to the compound. They are used in making PP-glass filled compounds, ABS or SAN-glass filled compounds, Nylon-glass filled compounds, HFFR compounds etc.
OPTIM Compatibilizers are used to promote interfacial adhesion between pair of polymer which are otherwise immiscible. They are compatible with one of the phases, these molecules tend to concentrate at the interfaces and stabilize them thus allowing finer dispersion of mutually incompatible pairs. They are heavily used in manufacturing of polymers alloys such as PC/ABS, PC/PBT, ABS/PC, ABS/PBT, PP/Nylon etc. Under OPTIM, we also offer impact modifiers for reprocessed polymers. It is evident that once the polymers are recycled, drop in impact strength becomes a bigger issue than other mechanicals, which still remain high enough for designated applications. To make up the impact strength of filled or unfilled Polymers for injection molding or extrusion of components, it is necessary to blend it with suitable impact modifier. This is done through compounding OPTIM impact modifiers in a twin screw extruder. Our impact modifiers are used in manufacturing reprocessed polymers such as Polycarbonates, Polypropylene, Nylons and PBT.
